Rahele, second attempt

No, I wasn’t satisfied with the first attempt. Although I appreciated the results of the various Raheles—their performances, their voices, the alignment with the content, and the musical composition—I felt that the character himself needed to take on a different typology.

Depending on whether the latent space can offer a more fitting character—based on a different drawing I provided to the AI—I must decide whether Rahele remains aligned with the auctorial ‘I,’ or whether that position must be transferred to another figure.

  • In my simplicity, it had seemed to
    me as though
I were looking down at myself from
    the stage.

    Looking down from the stage,
    I saw little Anselino
standing to the right of Rahele,
    and to his left, Maria.

When I said, "my name is Rahele,"
    he looked at Rahele,
who looked up at me—and laughed.

What a coincidence, that we both
    bear the same
    name—certainly not a common one.

I remember telling the military doctor
    that even then, in
my simplicity, it had seemed to me as
    though I were looking
down at myself from the stage.

And with that, I cannot escape the
    question
    of original and forgery.

In my simplicity, it had seemed to
    me as though
I were looking down at myself from
    the stage.
