St. Nepomuk tied in a bundle

  • … , maltreated, tied in a bundle, pushed from the Charles Bridge into the Vltava River and drowned because he would not tell the jealous king what the queen had confessed to him.

Infinitive sequence of the left half of the stage:

know, distribute, follow, erase, call, laughed, stand up, burst, ask.

Hi, this is John. You should know from the beginning that I am a dead man. That sounds worse than it is. What I can distribute now are the spells the queen used to torment me - worse than drowning, a punishment that must follow immediately, otherwise the first spell will erase my steadfastness and honor. So I said to myself: You must call the royal order! But they laughed at me, so I had to stand up, pull down my pants, and show them my buttocks, which had turned pitch-black with the curse. Now they burst out laughing. I ask them: When are you going to tie me up in a bundle and throw me off the bridge? They laugh more and more, slapping each other's backs and thighs with flat hands. I see no other way out: I have to do it myself!

Infinitive sequence of the right half of the stage: fill, pile, trip, point, pull off, lift, bind, cut out.

Hello again: I am Nepomuk, also known as John, dead for a while now. This is the reason why I may look a bit different. Now, as I promised, I will give you the queen's spells. They would fill a whole catalog, you can pile them up to heaven, where I am now.

As you already know: I am no longer alive. I repeat it just to make sure you understand what happened! That trip was a long time ago. I stumbled more than I planned in this adventure. You should not point at me, because if you pull off what is left after the queen's spells, you will see nothing more than a paper-thin shroud, and if you lift it just a little, you will see the drawing of how I planned to bind myself in a bundle. So cut out what's left of me and keep it safe at home!
